Best Use of Extended Activities

The activities are designed to be appropriate for all ages, with more parent interaction for younger children and less guidance for older children. For example, parents will need to read aloud comprehension questions to children who are not yet reading, and these younger children may answer questions orally. Children who can read and write may work more independently and write their answers themselves. It is beneficial for all children to answer comprehension questions orally and engage in a discussion with adults in order to develop language and the process of thinking, asking and answering questions.All of the activity pages are printable. Please feel free to click the image, download, and print throughout the week after your child has viewed the video and is familiar with the stories and poems. If the child views the video several times before completing a worksheet, that is okay. Children prefer structure and routine. My recommendation is that you establish a day and time each week to view the video and work on the activities; and limit children to one activity page per day.
